The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has awarded a Sino-Turkish consortium, consisting of CRRC, Mapa, and Limak, the contract to build the Blue Line of the Dubai metro network. The €5.4 billion (AED 20.5 billion) project includes an approximately 30 km above- and underground line with 14 stations and connections to the Green and Red Lines, as well as to the International City. Mapa and Limak will supervise the construction work, while CRRC will be responsible for supplying the railway systems. Construction work on the project is scheduled to begin in April 2025 and be completed in September 2029. The completion of the Blue Line will expand Dubai's entire metro network to 131 km.
