Bigdon steps down as CTO of DB, Spörl moves to TÜV Rheinland

Jasmin Bigdon stepped down from her role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at German state railway DB on 31st March 2026. Bigdon served as DB’s CTO for two years and had previously worked at SBB Cargo for 12 years. DB has not commented on who will succeed her in the CTO role. Also on 1st April 2026, Frank Spörl moved to TÜV Rheinland after more than 25 years at DB. Most recently, he worked at DB Engineering & Consulting. At TÜV Rheinland, he will take on the role of Global Business Unit Manager, assuming responsibility for strategic and operational business in the field of railway technology.
