On 15th May 2025, Ivan Bednarik took over as the new CEO of Slovakian infrastructure operator ZSR. His predecessor, Alexander Sako, stepped down for personal reasons. Bednarik was previously an advisor to the Ministry of Transport and the ZSR management and headed Czech state railway CD and its rail freight transport division, CD Cargo.
