The Australian government has confirmed funding of €2.02 billion for railway projects as part of its 2025-26 federal budget. This includes €1.34 billion for the Melbourne Airport Rail Link and €670 million for railway corridors in Sydney. Further funds will be allocated to the Melton Line and the removal of level crossings.
