Arcadis and Mott MacDonald to consult on East San Fernando Valley LRT project

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) has appointed a joint venture (JV) of Arcadis and Mott MacDonald as construction management support services consultant for the East San Fernando Valley light rail transit (LRT) project. The contract, which is valid until September 2029, includes the provision of administration, inspection, estimating and construction management services for the planned 10.7 km north-south line between Van Nuys/San Fernando and Van Nuys/MOL. The line will have 11 stations, a parallel cycle route and a maintenance depot which will make use of photovoltaic power. Utility relocation began at the end of 2022, and opening is planned for 2028.
