The annual condition report InfraStatus 2021 from Norwegian infrastructure manager Bane NOR has revealed that 26% of the rail network is in a condition that needs renewal and maintenance in the next 12 years. This is 2% more than in the previous report from 2021. The national rail network consists of 32 operating lines with a replacement value of EUR 41 billion (NOK 434 billion).
