EBRD provides €40 million for City of 10th Ramadan railway project

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted a €40 million loan to the country of Egypt for the railway project to the 10th of Ramadan City. The Robeiky – 10th Ramadan City – Belbeis railway line will connect the dry port in the 10th Ramadan City to the railway network of Egyptian state railway ENR, bypassing the Cairo railway junction to facilitate transport. The total project is estimated to cost €220 million, and the EBRD loan will partly finance the supply and laying of the tracks, as well as the signalling and telecommunications systems.
